The preparation

Sometimes on a shoot the preparation shots are the most interesting. This was from a recent travel story where the staff was setting up flowers on the bar. I shot the it later when it was cleaned up and pretty as it was I liked this better. This was in an Inn where everywhere you looked there were beautiful things to photograph inside and out.

Currently showing

This was part of a story on Jamestown, RI I shot for Yankee Magazine. Love the warm, end of summer light and the iconic Dels truck. I submitted it to the Teacher/Student show at the West Hartford Art League where I’ve been teaching photography workshops for a few years now. The show is at the Clubhouse Gallery and up until the end of June.

New Haven Pizza

I was at a party the other night and the subject of New Haven pizza came up… here in CT it’s legendary…I had to pipe in about a shoot I did for Yankee Magazine last year on just that…Pepe’s vs Sally’s… here are a few shots from the shoot… I hired a photographer friend who LOVES pizza as my assistant that day and off we went to New Haven. We shot at Pepe’s first, that’s their tomato pie above…a perfect thin, crispy crust, melt in your mouth good… and also shot their famous white clam pie along with atmosphere shots and the making of the pizza…

and after shooting and eating pizza it was on to Sally’s for more… the veggie pizza had super thin slices of zucchini, tomato and sweet onion and was unbelievably good…

Road to Troy

I’ve done this trip dozens of times in the last 2 1/2 years taking Brian back & forth to school…on his return after Christmas break I rode shotgun and using my snapshot Canon G11 documented the ride out the window…

and back home in West Hartford…..roundtrip 5 hours
